The Future of Public Shows6/25/2020 For smaller groups such as ours, public presentations, performed live, in person, with a fully stocked bar seem increasingly unlikely.
Our colleagues and fellow creatives have always performed for micro audiences in "Art spaces" around town. There are enough of us to create and maintain "a scene". This "scene" has transitioned to online presentations. Presumably the "scene" followed them. I've my doubts. Now we compete with Netflix. So, until a vaccine is developed and widely adopted we are in a holding pattern. How long can the arts hold out? In the meantime, we create, we dream, we scheme, and we hope.
